Megan Wilson, MPS- Executive Director
Megan has dedicated her career to non-profit work with increasing responsibilities from direct service to non-profit management. She has over ten years experience working within healthcare and children's issues. She has an extensive background in running domestic violence, sexual assault and youth mentoring programs. She spent a number of years in development for a medical research foundation and subsequently ran a private, grantmaking foundation serving Illinois health and social services. In 2006, she was honored by being selected to participate in the Community Resource Center Colorado Nonprofit Leadership and Management Program. In 2008, she was selected to serve on the Governor's Early Childhood Council Advisory Team (ECCAT). She recived in Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's Degree in public serivce management from DePaul University. Her favorite children's book is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst and Ray Cruz.
Carol Federman, MS, M.Ed., APRN, BC- Northwest Regional Coordinator
Carol received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Boston University and graduate degrees in Health Education from Boston University and Science in Nursing from Simmons College. She is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and a recognized expert in holistic nursing and caring for the self about which she has given numerous talks and workshops. Her two most cherished childhood memories are when her grandmother read Uncle Wiggly (over and over!) to her as a toddler and then, when she was older, reading Heidi to her grandmother.
Meredith Goldin, MPA- Program Manager
Meredith graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with double Bachelors Degrees in Spanish and Psychology. One of the highlights of her college career was being chosen as one of 40 students selected out of over 300 applicants to participate in “The Art and Adventure of Leadership”, a class taught by University President Steven B. Sample, and University Professor Dr. Warren Bennis in the Spring of 2005. Also, in the spring of 2004, she was admitted to the USC Honors Psychology Program and ultimately completed an honors thesis in the area of Social Psychology. This research also earned her numerous awards and honors from the university, including the award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research in the area of Social Sciences. She earned a Masters of Public Administration Degree with a Concentration in Nonprofit Management in 2008 from the University of Colorado. Meredith has always had a love of language and she is bilingual in Spanish and English. When she was a child she would request that her mom read her Good Night Moon every night before bedtime and as she grew a little older, she was drawn to the vivid stories and illustrations of books by Vera B. Williams. This love of reading has grown over the years and continues to be one of her favorite pastimes.
Mary Vozar- Southwest Regional Coordinator
Mary Vozar and her family live in Mancos, CO where she and her husband run an organic farm. A former children's librarian, Mary joins the Reach Out and Read team in partnership with the Montelores Early Childhood Council.
Debora Schoen- Office Manager
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Debora is fluent in Portuguese and French and has varying mastery of Spanish, Italian and Japanese. Debora received her Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and Studio Arts from Beloit College in Beloit, WI. She lives in Denver with her husband, 3-year-old daughter, and two dogs. Currently her favorite children’s book is Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson.
