What Are People Saying About Reach Out and Read®?

“It would be hard to find an outfit that reaches so many kids—over 66,000 in 2007—so efficiently. Talk about bang for the buck. And reaches them not merely by their visit: The books they receive stay with the family. So too the lesson that reading is to the mind what nutrition is to the body.”

Benefit Breakfast

Mitchell Hall

Each Fall, Reach Out and Read Colorado hosts its Benefit Breakfast at the beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens. The event features a menu of ham and green eggs as well as entertainment provided by local celebrities (Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has participated every year!) reading a parody of the Dr. Seuss classic. Our signature event and the hottest ticket in town each October, this sellout event is our largest fundraiser of the year.
